Redesign for November 2009
After a little more than a year, we have updated our site’s design. There are quite a bit of issues that need to be worked out, but the main point is that it is fully navigational.
Additions:
- Most recent post appears on top of content area of
- Most popular (most viewed) pages are independent for English and Spanish versions
- The 10 most used keywords (tags) are displayed on the bottom of the right sidebar
- Mention and link to from content area of
- Mention and link to , a youth soccer team for which we are proud to be the official sponsors
- A footer which provides links to archives of the past 5 months, the top 5 most commented posts, and an invitation to join our winning team
- Plugins now control content of sidebars (used to be hard coded into theme files)
The site continues to run on WordPress and currently uses the Simply-indy theme.
Known Issues:
The picture at the top does not have anything to do with healthThe content boxes on the main page only show up as intended when viewing with FireFox 3.5 on Linux. Heights are not uniform when page is loaded on FF 3.5 or IE 8 on Windows (tested on XP and Windows 7)Most pages continue to have classes in tags that belonged to previous css (template)Most pages do not have tags, which this system uses as the meta keywords for each postMost pages do not have an excerpt, which this system uses as the meta description & the description shown during searches and tag & category directoriesSearch does not work. It redirects to page that does not exist
